About me

I am a passionate data scientist with over 6 years of experience in data science and machine learning, focusing on driving business value. I am currently serving as a senior data scientist at DataRobot. My journey started with cyber security, followed by a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Tartu Ülikool and Tallinna Tehnikaülikool, Estonia, where I had a turning point to explore Bioinformatics and Data Mining and eventually settled down with Data Science and Machine Learning as my professional carrier path.

My data science career has spanned various industries (insurance, banking, healthcare, financial markets, retail) and cultures, from Ukraine to Estonia to return to Kyiv and, eventually, New York City, USA. During this time, I've developed and implemented various predictive models and solutions that have driven significant business value for customers.

In my current role, I've taken ownership of executing complex end-to-end data science and machine learning solutions for customers across various industries. I'm a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them from problem framing, data preparation, and model building to model deployment, management, output consumption, and visualization.

Over the years, I've honed my skills in Python and various big data technologies, data mining, data visualization, CV, and NLP. My recent focus has been on MLOps - understanding the importance of model monitoring and compliance documentation. Generative AI is another area I'm passionate about.

In the mentorship role, I can guide on executing end-to-end data science projects, from problem framing to model deployment: project management, customer success, and critical skills needed for successful data science projects and career advancement.
I can also offer guidance on job relocations and immigration to countries such as Estonia and the U.S.

I look forward to helping aspiring data scientists navigate their journey in this exciting field.
